Rustrel / Luberon

This former school has everything to please its new owner. Located in the heart of the village, the large building is accompanied by a garden of perfect size. The old school has a fluid and easy-to-arrange plan, ideal for accommodating a large family on vacation and throughout the year.

The structure of the mas is in good condition, while the insulation has been improved for better energy performance. The woodwork has been replaced, the paintings redone, the terracotta tiles of the flooring entirely replaced, and a central staircase created. The two floors of the mas have been transformed in a simple and elegant style. Artworks and furniture are highlighted by white-painted walls. No ephemeral trend has been followed; the house is decorated in a timeless and classic style.

We imagined the pool with a beautiful Rocher d’Espeil stone coping, a local stone from Lourmarin of a beautiful color and dense enough to withstand winter freezing. In the garden, we have planted flowers originating from South Africa, as a reminder of the family’s origins.
