In the Vaucluse Mountains, this contemporary house opens up to the Mont Ventoux and the bright sky. By choice, nature is present inside the house for the owners who are enthusiasts of the exceptional. Evoking an art gallery where a collection of contemporary ceramics and African art can be housed, the interior is bathed in soft light from large windows.
Against a white background, touches of various colors set the tone with the classicism of the beige and greige palette of Burgundy stone on the floor. The open kitchen is elegant, white and minimalist.
In the continuous spaces on the ground floor, furnished with floral-patterned Caucasus carpets, designer and vintage furniture integrates perfectly with the eclectic atmosphere of the house, where art and craftsmanship harmoniously coexist.
Upstairs, in the private part, are the bedrooms with traditional Provence terra cotta floors treated with hot wax to age well. As for the incredible view, a vast and unusual bathroom overlooks Mont Ventoux. A Venetian chandelier, a former cabinetmaker’s piece of furniture transformed into a vanity unit and a spa bathtub make it possible to enjoy the art of living on the hills of Provence.
This former school expanded by the contemporary extension has benefited from a renovation in accordance with the rules of the art. The owners savor their house imbued with the history of the place.
